video card problem

this is my pc

gigabyte z97x gaming 5

i7 4790k 

16gb ram ddr 3

750 psu gold rated 

5500xt

last night i dropped my monitor and broke it (the power went down after i drop it )

today i bought a bran new monitor but my video card its not displaying nothing thru his hdmi port 

from mistake i put the vga cable to the pc while the 5500xt was inside the pc and the pc worked

im not able to connect directly to the video card 

why it is woking thrue the vga port on the motherboard 

games are working fine , sometimes i get 20-30 fps lower then before 

the video card its not showing in dxdiag but in other programs it is showing 

i tried to re-install it , check the drivers evrything
