RTX 3070 Weird Text Reddish Outline in Windows Movies & TV App

k97513

Hi,

I was watching a video using Windows's "Movies & TV" app that is the default video player in Windows 10 when I noticed some small text at the bottom of the screen, which normally is white with a plain black outline, looked blurry and tinted red. I have just gotten a 3070 and did not have this issue prior to installing it, so I'm pretty sure the issue has to do with the new GPU.

The tint is present throughout the entire video, but I did notice that if I didn't skip/fast forward and let it play normally from the beginning, the issue wouldn't appear. However, if I tried to jump to anywhere in the video the tint would show up no matter where I scrubbed to, even if I went back to the beginning. Sometimes, the text isn't tinted red and only the black outline is very blurry/enlargened. Nothing else on my computer or in the video has had this issue either so far.

A couple things to note, when I tried to take a screenshot with snipping tool (win + shift + S) or printscreen, the issue went away and looked normal. Also, I tried opening the video and a screenshot in Chrome, Firefox, and VLC and the issue was not present, so I think that it may have something to do with the Movies app.

Here is what it's supposed to look like: https://imgur.com/a/bb9kl8N

Here is what it actually looks like (taken with my phone): https://imgur.com/a/nWGIESK

Thanks!
