I just recently got into the world of video editing for projects that I took up, but need help in possibly enabling my Rx 5600 XT for hardware encoding. As stated, I have an AMD Rx 5600 XT, and there is no way by default to use it for rendering at least by default in Adobe Premier Pro. I've looked up how to resolve this issue on YT but I could not find nothing conclusive. The rest of my rig is rather rudimentary for video editing, an i5 4670 with 8gb of ddr3, (16gb is on its way soon), so having the newer GPU to help out would be amazing. I am not even sure if this GPU is compatible with premiere.

THere are some plugins that let you use hardware encoding, but the quality is pretty bad so I wouldn't use it.

Opencl should work fine though on that card

So a problem I am having is actually selecting OpenCL as the renderer. Currently the only option available is the Mercury software.
