good afternoon everyone, 

 

i have broken my cpu and am in the market for a new one. i originally paid ~$230 for it, but now it's been price gauged to ~$300. what cpu do you recommend? i am looking to upgrade to a 3070 later in the year so please keep that in mind as well. (sorry if this is the wrong section, wasn't sure which one to post in).

Maybe Ryzen 5 2600x? I know it is one generation older, but a lot cheaper (at least in my country) and it has the same amount of cores and threads. The boost clockspeed is 0.2GHz smaller on the 2600x as well as the base speed.

But now, fellow gamers, that was it for me. Please keep in mind, that this is just my personal opionion and I am no expert. Your system shall be cooled forever, see you next time.
