I’m planning on getting a new ddr4 ram for my laptop that runs on an intel i7-7700HQ@2.80Ghz and has a max memory speed of 2400Mhz. If i get the crucial Ballistix that has a speed of 2666Mhz will it work on my laptop or will my laptop not boot? As I’ve read on many sites where people say that using a ram which exceeds the max capacity of the cpu will damage your laptop.

It will most likely work but it will run at 2400 mhz.

This is wrong

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
