Yes you must force use compatibility tool to install game (Proton experimental). I have 230 games on steam and i can play almost all. But i don't know if this os is better because this os is just steam and don't have browser or anything its like i have console. And it is very fast

ahhhh no

sure there might be a bit more memory free (under 100MB) and maybe 1% more of cpu free but my heavily bloated manjaro installation only uses 950MB of ram at idle

Ok thanks. I can't see usage because this os doesn't have desktop or usage monitor i can't do nothing just game. My laptop is huawei d15 with amd and it shares ram with cpu so more free ram i have the better game works

Hi everyone. Did someone game on new gamer os jet? Gamer os is new steam os based on linux i try on my laptop and works great but i have old laptop. Anyone try it with gaming pc?

Just install popOS/mint/lfs (or any other noob-friendly distro). these ""gaming"" distros are just another distro with steam and playonlinux. you'll have more freedom with a normal distro

Oh, I've got the same laptop :) anyway, any Linux desktop environment is not that memory-hungry. Total RAM usage for a Linux distro ranges from 250-300 Mb if you use LXDE to over 1 Gb if you use Gnome  but I heavily doubt that +- 1Gb will make a meaningful difference in an actual game (if anything, you'll get bottlenecked by your integrated graphics first).
