Case fans

MVPernula

Hello!

A CPU, motherboard, CPU-cooler and RAM upgrade is planned in the near future and while I'm at it I want good and silent case fans for it all.

I've been looking into Noctua, of course, and also heard about Arctics fans but I'm not sure where to go.

RGB is not something I want. I'd like it to look clean and tidy, almost boring is fine too. White/grey/black or a combination of those. Noctuas Remux.. Redux?.. You know what I mean, is a good example!

I just dont know which is right for the job.

Performance > Silence

But silence is also something I really want, if that makes sense.

I'm building in the Fractal Design R6 with a TG panel if that helps. My spontaneous idea is to have 3 intake(front) and 1 exhaust(back), but feel free to come with other suggestions. 120mm in front. Maybe a 140 in the back? Any help is good help.

Thanks!

Noctua redux are fantastic, pwm version will balance silence when low load and ramp up to very quiet even at full speed.

2 or 3x120mm in the front and 1x140mm in the back would give you positive pressure keeping dust out since your fronts are filtered

NF-P14S would work.

The stock case fans are fine too. If you haven't already, I recommend trying them out before deciding on whether or not to replace them.

Back fan would be nf-p14s-redux-1500-pwm

140mm 1500rpm 4pin pwm model

Fronts would be nf-p12s-redux-1300-pwm

120mm 1300rpm 4pin pwm model

You can definitely use the case fans which came with the case before buying to see if there is a need for the quieter /more expensive fans. Most case fans are surprisingly good and quiet
