Just built a new computer and plugged in my SSD. It's an old WD blue I pulled out of my old HP prebuilt, and now it won't boot no matter what I try. I don't have any USB sticks on hand either. The ssd has windows on it and I used it as my boot drive in my old prebuilt. My old prebuilt also had a hard drive in it, which previously had windows on it, could that be the culprit?

Also, the UEFI says the ssd is 1000 gb, does this mean total capacity or has my ssd been wiped?

Your problem is the second drive in the old system. I've run into this many times.

It was first in hardware order thus has the MBR on it.
