Hi all,

I know I posted this in displays, but i think this might be a better place to put it. I have a Asus Direct CU2 4gb r9 270x graphics card and would like to use three displays as in one be the desktop, the other 2 run in extended mode. Is there anyway I could do this? Ideally I would like to have a VGA, hdmi, and dvi connection.

Thanks

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

It should support three monitors you might need a DVI to VGA adapter though I don't think that card has a VGA port on it

Edit: go to display settings in control panel to set up the extended displays, also you should be able to play games on all three at once if they are all the same res however i can't say how many fps you would get

Would using a vga to dvi adapter then dvi then hdmi work? I heard that in order to get a third monitor you have to use display port and an active adapter.

Why would you do that? Just use DVI to HDMI if you wanted to use HDMI for another monitor. I think that was with the 7xxx and below cards, I think the newer cards don't need an active adapter anymore, but I could be wrong.

I meant convert one of the dvi ports to vga. Then use the remaining dvi port and hdmi port for the other monitors.

Yeah, would should be able to do that. I have to ask though, why are you set on using VGA? Does one of your monitors only have VGA?
