I have a Pentium Dual Core T4400 whose base frequency at the intel website is 2.2 Ghz. It's a laptop processor and I am using it in a 10 years old Dell Vostro 1014 with 4GB DDR2 ram. Recently I have started noticing that my laptops temperatures are very high even though I have cleaned it less than a month ago. The processor always runs below it's base clock and highest clocks from my processor I have ever seen is 2.03 Ghz and it goes as low as 880 Mhz. Can anyone please help me in the issue?
