I am interested in learning ETHICAL hacking and I want to know if you guys (and gals or whatever) know any good free courses online to learn this?

A YouTuber called engineer guy showed how he did some sql injection iirc. 

He did about 2 or 3 videos where he did some stuff to scammers.

alright, first post

the ethical thing is more like a marketing term for schools... I wouldn't put too much focus on it. just learn to understand things

ctf's have been gaining traction, e.g. https://ctflearn.com/

you can find A LOT on youtube, try LiveOverflow or RootOfTheNull. probably too hard for now, but keep growing until you understand these guys is pretty much what I did. Especially LiveOverflow. RootOfTheNull is awesome for ctf walkthroughs, good insight in how you can look at problems in different ways

make an account on hackerone.com and read some reports on https://hackerone.com/hacktivity (and related https://www.hacker101.com/)

and lastly, what helped me a lot specifically was understanding http requests and responses. look at headers, response codes, ... 

just start reading up on it and don't stop. You'll quickly build the skill to mess around, and eventually understand what you're doing better and better. it's pretty rewarding tbh
