Hello, first of all happy new year to everyone.

I want to ask for some advice on my rig. My config is as follows:

- R9 3900x @ 4.2 Ghz 1.23v

- AIO cooler ID cooling FrostFlow 240

- Asus ROG B550-F Gaming ( NO WIFI MODEL )

- 4x16gb DDR4 @ 2400Mhz CL16 Crucial Ballistix Sport

- Vega 56 Asrock Phantom Gaming UV/OC @ Clock: 1620Mhz @ 1.06 Memory: 910Mhz

- Gigabyte 512Gb M2 SSD

- Kingston 480gb SSD SATA

- 3 x 1TB Toshiba HDD 7200RPM

- 1 x 2TB Seagate HDD 7200RPM

- NZXT Phantom 410

- Sentey 1050 Watts 80+ Gold full modular Powersupply

- 2 x Samsung 22" TN monitor(S22D300F)

- Primary monitor 32" 1440p @ 144hz Samsung ( C32JG50QQ)

I know for sure that my Vega 56 is a little old, but I live in Argentina and stock and prices for new graphics cards like 6900XT/6800, or something like a 3060 Ti or 3070 are a little far from the money I have, and every store that has one put prices a lot higher than the ones that should be.

I bought a AIO cooler because my ryzen 9 has high temperatures but the temperatures still high, 50-65 doing light workload, and with handbrake or anything that uses full cores computer shutdown after some minutes because high temps.

Besides of that I think that I can upgrade my ram to 4 sticks of DDR4 16GB 3200MHZ PATRIOT VIPER STEEL CL16 but Idk if it will be worth it( 4 sticks will cost me about 175 US dollars ) a new graphic card ( 3070 ) will cost about 560 US dollars but I may be able to buy one at the end of this month. ( I say "I may" because it depends of stock on my country). With my vega I can run "everything" without much problem at 1440p, but this year I need to change it for sure.

I mainly use my computer for gaming( all types from Cyberpunk 2077 to Commandos ) at 1440p, also for some VM's as I work as Sysadmin and need to test things and everyday for about 20 to 40 tabs of chrome, and some general apps.

What do you think? What u recommend me to do? Should I wait some months?

Thanks a lot

Personally I would wait with regards to an upgrade and I would think that unless you are running into memory issues your RAM should be fine although faster memory is preferred for Ryzen it is far from essential.

With regards to CPU temps Have you tried using PBO instead  of overclocking, I saw definite improvements with temps and little if any performance loss bursty loads and better control for longer steady high loads
