My ram is slow, anybody knows why?

Yesterday I build my first pc. I bought g skill sniper x 2*8gb 3200Mhz for my system. I know that I will only be able to run it on 2660 Mhz because I'm using an intel CPU. But in CPU-Z it says around 1064 Mhz, and in the bios  it says 2166.

anybody know why is this happening?

I have an i5-10500, and gigabyte b460m ds3h.

Turn on XMP

1064 is half of your advertised rate which is correct. DDR is double data rate

I turned XMP on, and now CPU-Z says it runs on about 1330 Mhz.

restart your pc,

spam the 'delete' key to open the BIOS/ UEFI

find the setting called XMP, should be on the first page but if not look around or check the manual.

enable XMP

save changes

exit

should be using XMP, thus getting your desired speeds.
