WiFi hidden but Cellular isn't

So I need help with a thing that apple lets you do, so on iphone you can type a ip address when connected to a WiFi network and if the network doesn't have internet you will still be able to connect and use the network and still have cellular data enable and the wifi bars goes away I enjoyed it so much but now I have a s20+ and I can't seem to do it can anyone help me? Because I hate turning off and on the wifi to access my network from my phone

Sounds like you're just using cellular data. If the wireless doesn't have internet access, I don't see how you can magically get it by going to a random IP address.

 

Some password protected public networks have a sign-in portal. Android will notify you when it detects this.

If you disable the WiFi antennae you can't get WiFi. But if cellular data is available in your area, your phone will just use that instead.
