Air or In loop? I have a Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.3GHz going to see if I can push it a little more. On air with stock AMD stealth cooler with Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste I am around high 50's to low 60's under load give or take variance. I don't have a whole lot of case fans, running a N200 with fan RPM's maxed out. Might either do a single fan rad, or a two fan rad at the front of the case. I could mount a single rad at the top  or on the side of that case door which would be goofy, but cost wise single fan rad would be cheaper. my ambient temps are a little below normal for room temp during this time a year, I like it colder in my room so.

this is the cooler and i get them from amazon DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX400 V2 Blue CPU

i know the mobos say either way but it is better in 2 and 4

How so? The Ryzen 5 3600 memory controller recognizes either combination as dual channel, it’s only when they are beside its other it’s a problem, that’s single channel.
