Hey everyone,

I've recently got into computer and have been starting to upgrade my current pc and have ran into an issue.  I recently purchased new 16g(8x2) vengeance lpx 3200mhz and replaced my 8g(8x1) crucial 3000mhz.  Everything started up fine and I ensured bios had swapped memory profile for the 3200.  When having discord and iracing running together, the computer BSOD's mainly with memory management mainly and once or twice with system exemption thread not handled.  I rannthe windows memory program and it has popped up with a general message saying hardware issue yet the crucial will say no problems detected.  Is this a defective memory stick in the lpx or is it an issue with the ram's factory settings?  I have a ryzen 5 3600 and a gigabyte b450m

Are you sure it's plugged into the right DIMMs on the motherboard? The correct slots should be labelled in the motherboard manual. If that doesn't work, try disabling XMP. It's possible that you just got unlucky with CPU/RAM/MOBO compatibility at 3200MHz.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

I verified that they are in the correct spots on the mobo and also that the ram was on the qvl prior to. Uying. I can run other programs with discord but as soon at I hit around 10.9 gigs of ram usage is when I see an issue.  I am in the process of running windows memory diag once again with xmp to defualt.
