07 error code

I just upgraded my CPU to a ryzen 7 and when I first booted it, it went to FF. I left it for a bit because I know sometimes it takes a bit, then I reset the cmos. Now 07 is stuck as the error code. I’ve taken them out, tried different ram, done different slots, reset cmos without any ram in there. I’m so confused. EDIT: The lights for the ram are on so they’re getting like power and everything, I’m so confusedddd.

What motherboard do you have?

07 refers to a memory issue, likely with the integrated memory controller. Try reseating the cpu. If you can get into bios, try loading optimized defaults. If this does not help I suggest returning the cpu for a replacement. 

 

EDIT: Did you update the bios yet?

Nothing comes up on the screen so is there a way to update bios

motherboard- ROG Crosshairs VIII Hero

OLD CPU -ryzen 5 2600

NEW CPU- ryzen 7 3700x

GPU - gtx 1080

RAM- 16 gb 3200 MHz Corsair vengeance pro (2x8)

PSU - evga 750gq 80 plus gold
