Which GPU is better?

westfy

Hi guys, I'm building a new PC for a friend of mine and I was going for either 1660 super or 1660 ti, until I stumbled upon Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB, which beats both by price and by what it seems like performance. Or so I think? I can't find comparison between that radeon card and the, for example 1660 ti gigabyte oc 6gb, or 1660 super (whichever 1660s)

Is the sapphire a better option for a GPU of this pricing? (in my country the radeon 550xt  is the same or even less price than 1660ti,1660super)

The 5500xt is closer to 1650 Super performance than a 1660ti or Super.

I'd go for the Ti over the Super if they are the same price, i'd go for the Super if it's cheaper than the Ti.

A 1660 Super is perfect for 1080p60fps with its 6gb of vram. If you can get that special 8gb 5500xt from sappphire for less then it might be worth it since they are similar but I think a 1660 Super is a bit better than a 5500xt in most games, what games do you play and what resolution fps do you want?

SPEC LIST:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X w/ NZXT Kraken Z73 360mm Liquid Cooler
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) 5000MHz CL18
  • Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 Godlike
  • SSD: Samsung 980 Pro PCIe 4.0 1TB (x3)
  • PSU: Corsair AX1600i
  • Case: NZXT H710
  • Monitor: Alienware AW2521H 25inch 360Hz 1ms

Well the 5500xt is 600lv (local currency), the 1660 Ti is 620. He will be playing call of duty:warzone cs:go, fps games, mostly

Is the 1660 Super cheaper than the 5500xt and 1660 Ti? I would recommend getting the 1660 Super, its great for warzone at 1080p locked 60fps, its 6gb of vram runs faster than the 5500xt's 8gb and im pretty sure the gpu itself of the 1660super is faster than the 5500xt

The bigger problem is that I cannot find 1660 super in my country, I've looked every single site out there, so I have to go either with the xt or that 1660ti

Ok get the 1660Ti for 620lv, its only a bit more than the 5500XT for 600lv and you get a lot better performance even though it has 6gb of vram as compared to 8gb that 6gb is faster and the gpu itself is faster. Here is a video from september comparing their fps in many games including warzone at 1:30 RX 5500 XT (8GB) Vs. GTX 1660 Ti | 1080p and 1440p Gaming Benchmarks
