It's entirely possible the electronics have gone bad on the external drive. I've seen it again and again and again.

Assuming you have speakers, if you unplug and re-plug the drive into a different USB slot, does Windows make the "connected/disconnected" sound?

Ok, so windows still sees at least part of it, does the Event Viewer shed any light on things?

Yes there is an led in HDD and it is glowing.

That only means it's getting power, that doesn't mean the drive is good, again, what does the Event Viewer have to say?

Right, now go into the Windows Logs, and the System Logs, and see if there are any Yellow Triangles or Red Exclamation Points, specifically when dealing with your external drive.

There is

Drive is bad, look into something like DiskGenuis and see if it can see your external drive (which is likely the volume F that Event Viewer is referring to) and see if it can scan it.

CAUTION: DISKGENIUS IS VERY DANGEROUS SOFTWARE!!!! YOU *WILL* WIPE YOUR DRIVES IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Maybe. Maybe the drive is physically defective, in which case you need a new one.

Won't know until it's scanned for errors and those errors either fixed, or marked as unfixable
