Question about fan positioning

retr

Hey! I have a Meshify S2

I also have a ML360R (AIO)

I have a question if this is optimal or will it ruin something:

I currently run:

3 top intake w/ radiator (forced to do this because my ML360R wont reach from front of case to cpu)

2 front intake (120mm)

and 1 rear exhaust (120mm)

I wanted to do this to upgrade the looks of my case externally w/ RGB

3 top intake (120mm on radiator)

3 front intake (140mm corsair rgb fans)

1 rear exhaust (140mm corsair rgb fan)

is this okay to do? or should I 100% keep the front fans at 2 cause 1 rear exhaust isn't enough

Any help or advice is appreciated

ty for any help in advanced :D

Too much intake, not enough exhaust can hurt your temps inside the case as air gets trapped. I would use the classic front intake and rear and top as exhaust.

okay so like: 3 top exhaust 1 rear exhaust 3 front intake? does this work?

oo would it hypothetically be better to keep the rear exhaust @ 120mm and use 140mm front intake? then the 3 top exhaust 120mms

The meshify can do 3 top intake and 3 front intake but then no more fans anywhere. Lots of pressure and it will exit on it's own and provide good cooling. Been tested before and not really much difference between just 3 front ones.

That's interesting, that sounds good too. Maybe I can try both and run tests and log temps

Yeah it should be ok. I'd probably run

Top exhaust with rear and front as intake.
