Couldnt find the screw for the stand off so I had to buy one online thing is I want to use it now to setup things will this be okay for a temporary fix? https://imgur.com/a/GI9xBpg

Looks solid to me.

Check if their is any play.

If there's play then this is a temporary fix.

Kinda worried if it will fry my nvme or mobo since the screw is metal

Play safe by inserting a plastic washer between the screw and NVME Drive - just in case. You can do a DIY washer. Some thin plastic (e.g. old credit card) cut to size should sufficed.

The screw you would normally be using is also metal. No difference here
