What do I plug this into

That looks like a SATA power connector to me.

 

It came with a adapter but I don’t know what to plug it into what do I do to get it to work the same adaptor in the image but a cooler master one that came with the td500

Yes. It should plug into the SATA power connector that comes from your power supply. On my Corsair RM750x, the cable looks like this.
