Go for a 3600 if its only 15 dollars more than the 3100 if you can find it used for like 130 then go for that. The 2600 offer like 85 and see if he accepts the extra cores might help in productivity.

I think I'ma get the Ryzen 5 2600 with a B450 and 3200MHz C16 I'll be saving so much and when Ryzen 6000 Drops I'll just upgrade to that and give my gf my B450 rig. I think the 2600 will do good, even if I upgrade my GPU to something like a Radeon 5000/6000 or Nvidia 2000/3000

Go for a 3600 instead. You will not regret it. 2000 series of ryzen has some stupid problems.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Well alot of the chips had trouble reaching the rated frequency.

Getting memory to run faster than 3000mhz was hard.

Frequent crashes and general instability.

Just to name a few.

I’m kind of worried now. Eh, $100 is a good deal tho. I just picked up a 16gb kit of DDR4 3200MHZ Corsair LPX @ CL16 for $50 used so the ram is secured even if I do go B550 3200 will be fine. I don’t wanna regret the purchase either way of b450 vs b550 cause this rig I’ll have for 1-2 years until 6000 ryzen drops then I’ll def upgrade but until then I want to be able to enjoy my experience still. You guys have helped out a lot so far I appreciate it cause it’s been overwhelming getting back into pc building so long out of it 😭

Ya the 3600 is only $100 more on Newegg and some b550’s are the same price as b450’s + this is the ram I got, I got it for $50 used, and so much controversy over 3200 vs 3600 it’s nuts hahah.
