Internet Timeout Whilst Gaming ONLY

Go to solution Solved by RTX 3090,

Your ISP might be blacklisting the server. Try using a VPN

Greetings all,

So this issue has been going since late 2018, which is when I have changed my router with another (both were from the ISP). Anyhow, whenever I start gaming, I timeout/lose connection to that game's server, however, when I ALT+TAB out of the game, I can see that my ethernet icon is still UP, and when I head over to my browser and navigate to google or any other website, the internet is fine and functional. This happens on both Wired and  Wi-Fi connections. Also, I am the only person that loses connection in that server, the others face no issues.

I have tried the following so far with no luck:-
- Factory reset router
- Install a brand new OS
- Swap ALL of the computer's hardware (Including NIC)
- Install and setup a separate NIC (Not the one in the motherboard)
- Modify and tweak internet settings (using TCPOptimizer program)
- Swap Ethernet connection with Wi-Fi

My computer's specifications are as follows:
- 32GB 3600MHz Ram
- RTX 2070 Super
- i9-10900K
- ASUS MAXIMUS XII FORMULA
- Windows 10 Pro (Version 2004 OS Build 19041.685)
- Ethernet Connection

@RTX 3090 - I tried it out with VPN and surprisingly, I did not timeout. Apparently, my ISP has blocked most of VoIP applications (which means their ports as well), thus why this issue occurs. Thank you for this.

Is there (perhaps) a way to NOT use VPN, but still bypass the port blockage? Because VPNs just reduce the DL/UL speed massively, and that is not good for any gaming session.

Ask your ISP to disable whatever it is thats blocking it, probably some version of "Kid safe" stuff

Which VPN are you using. I do not get that much of a difference

Please tag me @RTX 3090 so I can see your reply
