System boot extremely slow

Just got a new setup;

Mobo ROG Strix B450-F

Reused processor; R5 1600x

RX580 MSI

Samsung Evo 500gb m.2

16gb g-skill trident memory

 

My system won't boot within a minute. BIOS screen is taking up at least half that time. With fast boot on, won't boot at all. Completely clean install of Windows, on the SSD.

 

Any ideas what I can still do to make it boot normally?

Also updated the BIOS to the newest version

What power supply do you use?

The memory is on the list: g-skill ripjaws f4-3200c16d. Using a cooler master 550watt PS

Thanks for the reply. But my drives are new. Also my HDD not showing up in device manager

yeah my hard drive was giving me all kinds of issues (after only having it for 1 month), but reformatting fixed it (asides for it still being as slow as a hard drive)


its just something you can try when all else fails i guess

The reused CPU or possibly your power supply (is it GOLD, WHITE, or BRONZE certified?) could be bad or almost bad.

CPU has been used for half a year, could I test that in a way? The PSU is bronze certified, completely new

I unplugged the failing HDD, now it's booting up normally. Have to get a new HDD, then problem solved probably! Thanks for the help and advises

Just FYI for your PSU (not saying its bad) MWE V2 units have high ripple issues on very low load also resulting in increased coil whine, fix pending.
