Hello everyone.

I got a 3090 today and when I've installed it I get just a black screen. It won't even show me my bios.

I updated to the latest bios version, tried different pcie slots, reinstalled my old card and it worked, and even installed it in my brother's PC and it worked in it. I also uninstalled the NVIDIA driver thinking it could be some compatibility issue seeing as how my old GPU was a 1080.

I know my pc is booting to windows as my streamdeck is working and I can play music from it.

My PSU is 1000w and im powering the card via 2 8 pin connectors from the PSU.

I also tried putting my 1080 in the 8x slot and the 3090 in the 16x slot and the motherboard is displaying N/A in the 16x slot.

I have a aorus z390 pro and an 8700k.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

If your card has 3 connectors like most do it won't power up unless all 3 are connected.

My card only has 2 8 pins afaik, unless there is a third in a spot I was too blind to see. It's a galax 3090. I'll have to have a look.

Edit: just looked on the website as I'm at work at the moment and it does only have dual 8 pin.
