Headphones crackling ONLY when suuround is toggled

That sounds like a software issue to me, because if it's virtual surround sound and stereo is working fine I don't see how it could be an issue with the physical headphones.

Then again, I'm not an audio expert, so don't quote me on that.

so my headset is the old Astro A40s

when razer surround is enabled on Razer Surround Pro theres alot of crackling, however once surround is disabled then the crackling stops entirley amd sounds normal.

i thought this was an issue with the MixAmp but after i plugged it into my computer directly the same behaviour occurs

i have beeen using htese hea\dphones with razer surround for about 7 yeares now without this issue

Is this then an issue woth my headset or could some weird software issue be happening?

Badly implemented surround and bad drivers. An advice, don't buy gaming headsets and you're set.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

Don't get the DT 990's or any beyerdynamic headphone without an amp. Just gonna say that before you do it and get disappointed.
