PSU dying?

IamAllan

I have a Corsair AX850 Gold (2012 model) 850w. I've been using it since June of this year.

B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax
AMD 3600

Corsair Vengence PRO RGB - 32GB (16x2) XMP to 3200mhz.

MSI GTX 1660 super

2x nvme (500gb and 1tb)

93 LED lights (2 strips)

2x BeQuiet 120mm intakes, 1x Phanteks 200mm exhaust
Phanteks Enthoo Evo ITX case

Using "Ryzen Highpower" mode.
MSI Afterburner to monitor GPU (usually a 10% OC if I do any at all)

Thermals are good

When I power on my computer, one of three things happens.

  1. it boots right up (1/10 times)
  2. it boots, but will shut down at random before log in.
  3. Most often: fans spin, LED's light up, no post.  Just black screen.

Is this likely the PUS dying?
I reseated all the cables and it's still happening.

I've come to the conclusion that the PSU is probably dying, and it's time to buy a new one... so I looked on NewEgg and found this one... opinions?

Yes, had the same exact problem with only fans spinning and led lighting but not screen output just before my psu died. So i would guess that your psu is dying

If you have any other PSU at all you can test this out and confirm

I'll have to buy one tomorrow, when my cheque comes in.
