MSI b550 bios flashback help

I’m trying to bios flashback a msi b550 mpg gaming carbon wifi. And when I get to the last step (pressing the bios flashback button).. the light on the io shield blinks 10 times and then nothing else happens. My usb drive blinks briefly during those 10 io shield blinks.
Is that it? Or should the blinking process be much longer?
Btw I have nothing installed on mobo, just cpu power cable and 24 pin mobo power cable. Also I’ve true two different usb drives, both formatted to fat32 using the windows 10 format function, and also tried rufus nonbootable mbr format.
