Just a few moments ago I was again annoyed by steam NOT updating my games in the background. I have a reasonably fast internet connection with no data cap and I have my computer on almost all day (with Steam always running in the background) though I'm obviously not playing games all that time. Now I wanted to play a game after work and it needed an update. Why? Can I somehow tell Steam to always update all games without waiting for anything or asking for my permission? I attach a screenshot of my settings, but I don't see why wouldn't it always automatically update. Pls help :c

Steam waits like a week after an update comes out to automatically update it for you, so that their servers aren't that stressed. Look at your downloads queue, most of the time they are scheduled for the future, which you can manually update now.

Yeah, I noticed they are queuing up, just thought there's maybe a way to make it update faster. Especially most played games that get a lot of updates (like CS:GO).
