I am building a computer for a friend. it has
Ryzen 7 3700X
G.Skill ddr 4 32gb
Sapphire Radeon 5700xt
650W power supply
970 Evo M.2 ssd
Aorus b550 pro ac
The issue I am having,
The computer posts to the options BIOS, Boot Menu, and Q-Flash.
However it will not allow me to open anything. I have tried opening all of the options but it doesn't work. It acts as though it isn't recognizing the keyboard. The keyboard light up. I've tried all of the usb ports on the pc to see if it was the slots. The keyboard lights up in all of the slots. I am using said keyboard to write this post. I read somewhere to pull the CMOS battery and see if that would fix it. It did not work. Please help.

Some combinations of keyboards, USB ports, and Motherboards have issues in bios. Often the keyboard only works with new protocols like usb2 or newer, but the bios only supports 1.1. Some keyboards like the Corsair k70 series actually have a switch that disable some functionality to put it in a lower mode so it works.

You may want to see if your keyboard has such a switch, try different usb ports, or get another, more basic keyboard to use

Main Rig: R9 5950X @ PBO, RTX 3090, 64 GB DDR4 3666, InWin 101, Full Hardline Watercooling

Server: R7 1700X @ 4.0 GHz, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3000, Cooler Master NR200P, Full Soft Watercooling

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

Router: R3 2200G @ stock, 4GB DDR4 2400, what are cases, stock cooler

I don't have a problem...
