WiFi stops, Please Help

Hello,

I am currently trying to download a game off steam, the game downloads fine but when i come back and wake the monitor by moving the mouse, the wifi stops. It starts going down to 0kbps, it says its still connected but the wifi stops and nothing works (e.g. Chrome). I have to restart my pc to use the wifi.

 

If anyone knows what is happening please let me know.

Lol, the wifi works on all my other devices it’s just my pc.

@Archerris ur wifii card usb or pcie? usb dosen't last long as it breaks easily. If you are using pcie it can overheat and threfore break the card unless there are ones with heatsinks like this one for example:

Thank you for helping, I have narrowed down the problem to the adapter, I tested the new one I got today (the one in the photo you sent) and the old one several times, every time the new one worked fine but the old one as the working. I am going to get another one of the new cards for this system as I was borrowing it from another pc.
