Don't get get an 8 core. Get a 5600x. For gaming you will see no difference between a 5600x and a 5800x and a 10700k will straight up preform worse.

Well I probually should of said this in my initial post but I’m trying to get a cheaper CPU that is 8 core and I can get on sale to make it cheaper cuz I want to future proof it a bit

I will have to do some research on it. I probably should of said this in my initial post but I’m trying to get a cheaper CPU that is 8 core and I can get on sale to make it cheaper cuz I want to future proof it a bit

If gaming is your main priority, six cores should be future-proof enough. I agree with @Letgomyleghoe., you should go with a 5600x.
