How do I break a habit when I don't even see it coming? Specifically, while no one has complained about it yet, I find myself finishing other's sentences. While I'm sure it's not too much of a big deal, I still want to stop doing it. But I can't because I do it without realizing it...and then it's too late :(

Ermmm....you could always try to be the quiet person I am, and be the one who never talks...

I play the Piano. As some other players know, once you learn a mistake, especially from memory, it sticks. And you need to work very hard to correct that mistake. One technique I use is to not learn the mistake in the first place, (which is not applicable to you), or, I can actively think about what I'm doing. By active, I mean not just playing through the piece, I mean constantly thinking and watching out for mistakes. You can do the same thing, actively watch yourself. You will forget about watching yourself, but once you don't, it's much easier.

Sorry for the convoluted speech pattern.

Oh god. As a piano player of 13 years, I can definitely vouch for that. I remember missing a beat in Beethoven's Pathetique 1st movement and it took me forever to correct it. Thanks for the suggestion :)

do u keep doing it like very sentence  or just once in a while

Just once in a while (probably why no one has complained yet)...but I can see how it can be annoying. I'd rather stop while I'm ahead.
