Turn that off.

I see more issues associated with XMP than virtually everything else combined on this forum.

If you give me some time, I'll analyze the crash dumps and see what's going on

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and I wanted to ask for all the help possible because I'm desperate.

It's been a while since I'm having a lot of issues with my Graphics Card.

While playing games I experience a lot of crashes and not that rarely BSOD.

My hardware:

GPU - MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z (factory overclocked)

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 (not overclocked, stock cooler)

RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8 GB 3000Mhz (XMP enabled)

MOBO - Asus Prime B450M-K

SSD - WD Blue M.2 SATA 1TB

PSU - Sharkoon WPM Gold Zero 550W

OS - Windows 10 Pro (Version 20H2 Build 19042.685)

Troubleshooting i tried:

- Update GPU Drivers from GeForce Expereince

- Update computer drivers from Windows Update

- Completely delete and fresh install GPU drivers with DDU

- Completely delete and fresh install every Microsoft Visual C++

- Update to latest DirectX

- Tried to change both TdrLevel and TdrDelay

- Checked Debug Mode in Nvidia Control Panel before starting the game

- Killed every unnecessary process in background

- Phisically remove and reinstalled the GPU

NONE OF THE ABOVE WORKED

I attached some crash infos, the DxDiag file and all the windows crash dump files.

Since it was too big, I uploaded here ( WeTransfer: https://we.tl/t-LKiTL5cXY9 ) the MSI afterburner log file (check the 8th of november 2020 16:39:00 for example)

If anyone wants or knows how to help me pls answer

Thx in advance

I'm seeing a ton of code corruption in the crash files, most likely related to faulty RAM, or the XMP screwing things up. SO yeah, turn off XMP, see how it behaves.

Thx a lot. I just tried the auto mode insted of the xmp and now cyberpunk runs smooth as butter. Before it was crashing every 2/3 minutes.

I would have never thought that the fault for all of this was the RAM.

Will it affect the performance of my CPU? I know that the higher the ram freq is the better amd cpus perform. Now it is set to 2133Mhz.

You will lose a few FPS with XMP off, but you gain stability and I feel that's far more important.
