so basically i have this pc i built my self, Ryzen 7 3700x and a asrock challenger Rx 5700xt, when I play games like cyberpunk right now and war Thunder i get a high fps but it's so freaking choppy when I play(nvm I fixed it i had to turn on Vysnc), i have 144hz freesync monitors, i also have 32 gb 3200 mhz ram with a super good psu and airflow in my case, it's also all dust free(i clean it a lot) but the main reason I need help is why my temps reach 102 degrees Celsius and chill there forever, it scares me bro and I have my gpu fans on 100, its loud and still getting hot, and supposedly the max gpu temp is 80 c while I reach 100 c,

I have the same problem with my 5700XT asus strix. At idle normal, when gamign near 100c without lowering voltage and power limit. Sad really.

Anyways take the sidepanel off and see the results. My results were the same sicne i have a high airflow case anyway. Will soon change the thermalpaste and see if the temps drop even a little bit.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Those cards have unrealistically high boost clock targets ootb.

You need to apply a decent undervolt and underclock. You'll get same if not better performance and lower temps.

A decent start would be 1950mhz clock and 1050mV undervolt

There are many guides, here's a random one

Makes me feel better knowing im not the only one with 100 degree temps

Gamers nexus did a roundup on best 5700XT.

They have among all, charts with temperatures aswell and it varies between models. Also it might be a bad contact between the cooler and the gpu die. Id try to return it or get replaced, 100°C is just too high.

Friend has a reference 5700xt and a Fractal Meshify, we managed a pretty nice undervolt without losing performance and set up an aggressive fan curve. It also helps that he just stuck fans everywhere haha.

Well it shoudl be under 70C stock. it runs 98C stock. Well i managed to run this gpu at 1850mhz with 1.075V with -10% power. Keeps under 90C.

I bought my Saphire Pulse OC 5700XT based on GN's roundup. I had to buy a better airflow case, undervolt and use liquid metal to keep it the 70s under load

I'd take it apart and repaste it before I sent it back. Some Kryonaut should bring it down a few degrees

Any decent paste would do if hes ready to take it apart, Ive personally put arctic mx-4 on my rx 480 and it worked absolutely fine, or if he can, unless the warranty void sticker is on then its better sending it back first.

And it can more likely be bad contact rather than paste, its a new card the paste cant be that bad.

Also it could be just one among many that came out badly assembled or who knows.
