R9 3900x Operating Temperatures

Hi all,

 

Have had my newly built pc for 3 days now and have noticed my 3900x temperatures to be around 43-53 degrees Celsius when idling and around 70-80 under load (gaming). 
 

Is this normal?

We have no idea whicb 3090 you have.

Please be more specific when troubleshooting issues.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

@SkilledRebuilds I have a gigabyte OC Gaming 3070 however, this post is in relation to my Ryzen 9 3900x

I was worried as the current state of my thermal paste on cpu is bad (it basically has a pattern that looks like a drought) so ive bought some thermal grizzly paste and was hoping to re apply

re apply should help lower the temps, but other than that normal safe temps
