Hello,
This is my main build currently and i am looking to purchase a secondary pc for only my stream. I don't want to spend too much money but also want to get a good quality output. I am willing to spend about $500-$800. It will only be used for streaming purposes. Can someone here help? Also, I have posted my current build below. Also am willing to upgrade GPU in current build if that will help. The current problem I am running into is that I have been dropping below 80 frames while streaming Warzone here recently. I was always able to hit about 110 - 120 while streaming. But seems like i cant here recently.

3700x and 2070S should be able to stream locally without much impact, no 2nd system needed unless you wanna isolate both tasks, which some professional streamer find beneficial

What encoder are you using? The default setting is software x264 I think

You should be using nvenc

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Nah new is the one you should use

Hmm, then I have no idea, running OBS shouldn't tank performance that much unless your game is extremely CPU bound

When i looked at the performance. The GPU was maxing out at 100% and CPU was at around 65%. I have all of my setting on Call Of Duty set to the lowest settings. I'm not sure why my frames have been tanking so much.

What I can think of is allocating OBS its own 2 cores in task manager while allocating the other 6 cores to the game, this should alleviate them fighting over the dominant core and tanking the single thread performance

Task manager, show advanced options, then go to Details tab and find the task you wanna change, right click it and set affinity, then pick the cores accordingly

Every 2 thread is a core, so if you want to allocate 2 cores to obs, you would tick 0,1,2,3 and the rest for your games and other tasks

You can use a program called process lasso and set obs to a lower priority (or cod to a higher one). As long as your don't drop frames in obs it should work perfectly (Aslong as your cpu isn't maxed it generally works out fine). Another issue is at least when I streamed having my gpu at 100% would cause dropped frames (one reason why streamers like dual pcs).

Thank you. I got them changed and will give it a shot next stream.
