Hey, I've just got myself a new case, and it came with 120mm 3pin fan, I've bought 2 more 3pin 120mm fans and put them to my case via 4pin fan hub and connected to 4pin CHA fan port on my motherboard, the thing is that I can't change fan speed at all, they just spin at full blast, lowered duty cycle on bios to the lowest point and it registered the changes, but fans just keep spinning at max speed. Tried using software aswell like Fanspeed, ASUS ai suite, hwmonitor and others, yet with no success. Any ideas how to solve this?

Make sure fan control is through dc mode as pwm doesn't work on 3 pin fans.

Fancontrol or argus monitor are the only third party software I've been able to get working to control fan speeds.

What hub are you using? Is the header set to dc control?

Moved to Cooling.

I am using deepcool fanhub which is 4pin, and I just cant find where to change header mode.

Model name?

The fan header mode is in the motherboard settings.

I have Asus motherboard with 2018 version american megatrends bios, and I just cant find anything about changing the output, even on the internet

That's a powered pwm fan hub and it sends a pwm signal which means 100% rpm for 3pin / non-pwm fans. Plug 3pin fans into the motherboard instead for control.

Motherboard model name?

Hello,

For Asus motherboards, you should be able to find the mode settings under QFan Controls. You can also use the the more advanced QFan Configuration under the Monitor tab of the UEFI BIOS(like in the screenshot below).

motherboard name is Asus H81m-r , and those fans only has 3pin connections, and they always where connected to the motherboard

Do you mean that they are directly plugged into the motherboard without the hub?

I've just looked up and all I can adjust is this, those settings doesn't change anything at all, and duty cycle doesn't work either, and when I press on Chassis q-fan control, it only allows me either enable it or disable

Sorry for misleading statement, they are plugged in with fan hub, but I tried to connect them without the hub aswell, nothing changes

What do you mean by 'it doesn't work'? What values have you tried?
