Fan adaptors

Does anyone now if you plug a 4 fan into a 6pin socket will it work and is it safe

No it probably wont work and it most likely isn't safe at all... Please provide a picture of the socket...? There are no 6-pin fan headers.. There are 3 and 4-pin and some fans can connect to molex or sata but they can't be controlled. Also why would you?

I have 6 pin connector on a fan controller and have spare 4 pin fan.
