I think the best solution is to get a whole secondary computer for anything that needs video card.

 

Like creating a VM, create a standard Windows installation with what you like, and back up the volume with Paragon Disk Manager or Acronis True Image.

Then you can wipe the whole computer back to a standard image anytime, but it just takes 20 minutes.

 

Yes VMWare graphics sucks and it really slows down if your VM is anything bigger than 1920x1080.

Forget about running a VM in 4k and watching 4k youtube.
