Is the Anker Soundcore Mini the best portable bluetooth speaker in the ~$25 range?

c0mplexx*

I'm looking to buy my mom a portable speaker but don't want to spend too much as she's not an audiophile and the Anker Soundcore Mini is currently on sale for $22 on AliExpress. Is it my best option?

She mainly just wants something loud and decent to good quality (well something that would just be louder and better than her phones speakers I guess), will mostly use it at home but will occasionally take it to work

It's certainly a very good little speaker for the price and would probably fit your mom's needs perfectly. I've had one for quite a while now.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.
