CS:GO stuck at 60fps?

Legion

Solved: The culprit was a sneaky afterburner profile :(

yymkZEf.png

I've tried everything I can think of.

Vsync on / off

FPS_max 300

Lowering all the settings and disable anything like AA

switching from fullscreen windowed to fullscreen.

Any CS:GO players have any more suggestions?

Also for those who say you can't see more than 60fps my eye was sure able to see it felt wrong which prompted me to boot up afterburner and confirm so :P

Is your display capable of outputting more than 60fps?

Check Nvidia control panel. What are your specs anyway? Not that I doubt you can run it but there might be issues with you particular configuration and source.

7970 and a 2500k at 4.5ghz.

I was able to run it before but for some reason after reinstalling the game a few months later its just shit itself and refuses to go above 60.

I am at a loss as to why that is. Can you watch demos at more than 60fps? You can just download one of the EMS games under the watch tab of the main menu.

I'll give it a try, this only happens on CSGO btw, I've double checked with Starcraft and its all working smoothly.

Are you running software like MSI Afterburner or anything that can limit FPS?

I am using afterburner but its applying a 120fps limit not 60. (120 was a stupid limit I had to use because skyrims physics doesn't like anything that isn't multiples of 30 -.-)

I've checked a few other games today trying to debug this.

EDIT found a CS:GO profile under afterburner configured for 60fps cap.

Jesus christ I certainly didn't make it who did :(
