After watching LTT's video on cooling SSD's, I've been thinking...

Lately, I did a little experiment.

I have a dead 2.5" SSD, that I took apart, lying around in my house along with some tubes of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.

I applied some paste on, what I presume, is the controller chip and put it all back together to see if the aluminium case makes contact with the paste. After opening it again, I found out that it does.

But like I said, it was a dead SSD so I can't test it and I don't want to try thermal paste on any of the drives I'm already using in case something goes wrong. Still how does it sound?
