first of all am new to the forum. i was hoping someone could help me out , my pc is not keeping up with modern video games even though i only play at 1080p 60hz. i decided to upgrade my pc for about $500. here is my current setup:

cpu: ryzen 5 2600(none x) @ 4.05 with a coolermaster 240aio

mobo :gigabyte aorus b450 elite

ram: 2x8 gb 3200 cl 16

gpu: xfx rx580 gts 8gb oc

psu: corsair ax860i

case: cooler master SL600m

a sata SSD and an HDD

ps: i really don't care about the latest cutting edge tech , i play alot of old games i just wanna be able to keep up with the new ones.

The RX580 paired with a Ryzen 2600 should still be able to hit 1080p 60 FPS in newer titles. You might need to crank the detail down from ultra or whatever the highest setting is on the most demanding titles, but that's it.

 

As far as upgrade paths for 500 bucks, plopping something like a 1660 Super along with a Ryzen 3600 into that build could get you more performance.
