So I've got a Lenovo Ideapad 330 with 12GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 16GB of Optane. I mostly use it for heavy multitasking (50+ tabs in chrome, multiple word documents, statistical software, that kind of stuff) and some gaming whenever I've got the time. I was thinking of getting rid of Optane entirely and instead install a SSD in its place to migrate my Windows installation, as well as some of the software in games I use often. I'd keep the HDD to as a backup of the Windows installation and to keep some of my files there. Question is, will this upgrade be actually worth it, i.e. will there be a significant performance boost compared to Optane + HDD?
