File Explorer - Looking To Enable Middle Click Scrolling

Go to solution Solved by RainfallWithin,

On the AutoHotkey forum, 'aph' has created a script to allow middle click scrolling in File Explorer. I have started using it and it is working well.

I'm trying to enable middle click scrolling, like we have in Google Chrome and other programs, in File Explorer.

For example, here it is on the Linus Tech Tips forum.

When navigating folders in File Explorer, I keep pressing the middle mouse button expecting to scroll down quickly, and being disappointed every time I remember it doesn't work there.

Help on how to enable this would be much appreciated.

It's a web browser feature, not a Windows one.

File explorer doesn't support this.

There is maybe a utility that might do this, but nothing in Windows natively exists.

Thank you, GoodBytes. I appreciate the information. It means I can start looking for a mod that allows it, instead of trying to find a non-existent setting.

Skype and Discord also have middle click scrolling. I picked up the habit of using it and it now bothers me when I can't use it in long lists in File Explorer.
