OCZ Agility 3 240GB SSD - recovery from death?

trueno2k

So yeah, after only using this drive on and off for a few weeks whilst I was able to grab some time to build my new haswell rig and a week and half since moving to the new rig from an LGA775 rig, the drive has suddenly just died after it crashed a few minutes of use from boot time!..

Now that Toshiba ( is it Toshiba? ) has acquired OCZ am I destined lose out here in terms of a warranty claim? I've heard people having a really unlucky time trying to get a warranty replacement with items that are still in warranty?..

Your comments and feedback greatly appreciated!?.

Thanks...

According to this list from OCZ Storage Solutions (yes, it's a Toshiba

company btw.), the Agility 3 is still under warranty until 2015-JAN-22.

Idk about your SSD, but some OCZ SSD's has an led on the back of it and if the ssd is in working order it should be green, if not, it goes orange or red.

LED flashes red once very quickly and then lights up green and stays green

Well, let's just hope it wasn't a warranty replacement drive already when I bought it from the original owner and also hope he will help with warranty claim if it isn't a replacement drive... Thanks for the response!..

My Agility 3 240's are still rolling well, but then again I change their oil every 3000 Mb's ;) for over a year and a half.

RMA them, they still exist.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
