whenever I try to download the Intel I225 LAN Driver it some reason doesn't work. I just got a new MOBO (ROG STRIX Z490E) and CPU (i7-10700k) and this driver not downloading isn't letting me use my ethernet cord and my wifi is horrible. Any ideas would be helpful i've been working on it for the past 7 hours or so.

Does the device show up in device manager? What is its status?

Those drivers should normally work out of the box in windows with no driver installs needed.

Does the link show as up?

in device manager my ethernet controller and an unknown device show up with the yellow triangle

will windows update find the driver?

when I tried the windows update earlier for it (cause i have the option) i went through the whole windows update just for it to revert itself, is it worth it just spam doing that and hoping it works one of the times?
