memory issues

Hey guys,

 

I have a gigabyte b550 gaming x mb with a ryzen 5600x and im trying to load up to 3600 mhz ddr4 ram the XMP boots up fine but when i run shadow of the tomb raider it crashes right away no matter what game settings i adjust.Once i swap back to a 3200mhz kit it runs just fine.I have 850watt power supply and a nvidia rtx 3080 im not sure if that matters or not in this situation and i can't find any info online to help me trouble shoot

It could be the xmp profile is a bit off.

What to do is this. Go in to the bios. Turn on xmp. Manually lower the frequency to 3400mhz and try that.

yeah i did that before to no avail but i think it was just a bad kit i swapped to a gskill rip @ 3600mhz and zero crashes so far just had to up the voltage a bit
